Donna, born and raised in California, began her dance career on the Central Coast at Pat Jackson’s American Dance Studios, home of the Award Winning American Dancers. She won a scholarship to attend there and became a member of Fast Forward performance group. Later, she was chosen to dance with the American Dance Company and has gone on to teach all ages in Hip Hop, Jazz, and Children’s Combo Classes (Jazz, tap, ballet). She was director over the pre-teen performance group at Pat Jackson’s American as well.
After relocating to Southern California, she taught briefly at Master’s Dance Academy in Lakewood, Linda Buell’s Dance Workshop, Screenland Studios in Burbank, and comes to us from Ciara Dance Studios in West Hills California where she taught for the past 5 years before relocating to Texas in August 2008. During her time in Southern California she choreographed for recording artists signed to Atlantic Records, RCA, Mercury, and Capitol Records as well as many unsigned acts in development.
She won a 2nd place choreography award at LA Dance Force in Los Angeles California and has choreographed for many other studios in Los Angeles and up and down the coast. She herself was a Soul Train Dancer, has been featured in videos, Days of Our Lives, National Coca-Cola Commercial, Miss Arizona Pageant CBS Television, Dancer/Actor for various stage plays, opening act dancing and singing for various concerts, and the list goes on.
She currently resides in Dallas teaching at Dance Industry and still choreographs for various unsigned and developmental acts including the upcoming Pop sensation Jada Krush. Donna is also a Dance Instructor for Junior Players teaching in the DISD after school dance programs where she teaches at risk children and is also Company member in the Mahogany Theater of Dance here in Texas.
Currently, Donna resides in Dallas and choreographs for various unsigned and developmental acts including the upcoming pop sensation Jada Krush. Additionally, she is also an Instructor for the DISD Junior Players after school dance program where she teaches at risk children.
