DANCE INDUSTRY
 

JAZZ
A stylized and technical form of dance that considers placement, precision, strength, flexibility and a ballet foundation combined with the use of rhythmic music.

LYRICAL
A combination of ballet and jazz technique which is more expressive in nature. It allows the individual to bring personal freedom, spirit and creativity to their movement.

BALLET
The foundation of all dance. The use of a technical vocabulary of steps, poses, leaps and jumps, to convey a story/theme/atmosphere.

CORE
Through the use of basic equipment, exercises for strength, stability and endurance are executed in order to bring awareness to the core of the body.

HIP HOP
A structured form of street dance often found in music videos, designed to teach coordination, strength, quickness, agility and endurance accompanied with popular R&B music.

STRETCH/CONDITIONING
A class that focuses on furthering the elasticity of the body's muscles as well as strengthening them.

COMBINATION CLASSES
Designed to prepare children for upper level classes. It combines several techniques to introduce the children to many forms and elements of dance including stretch, coordination and rhythm.

DRILL TEAM
A precision form of jazz focusing on technique, placement, strength and flexibility. Used as a prep class for drill team auditions and maintenance throughout the year.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT
Designed to develop your child's movement and classroom skills through creative play, music and dance. Based upon a curriculum that teaches children classroom behavior, independence, coordination and listening skills.

POINTE
A form of dance that is performed on the tips of the toes through the use of specific shoes. It incorporates the vocabulary of ballet technique and adds an element of magic to its movement.
